Timer for Webex Events (Socio)

Webex Events counts down to start. Yours counts down the segment.

The speaker opens the stage link for a private, live countdown once the session is underway. The producer keeps the timer and cue cards on a separate control link, alongside Webex Events' own attendee-facing Lobby countdown.

RunCue

A private, per-segment pacing timer, not a pre-event countdown.

RunCue works alongside Webex Events in a separate browser tab. It does not install as a Webex Events integration or access your event, sessions, or attendee data.

FAQ

Using RunCue with Webex Events

Does Webex Events have a private, in-session speaker timer?

No. Webex Events' Knowledge Base describes its Lobby countdown as counting down to the event's start time for attendees, and its session-management article for hosts describes no private, host-only pacing timer during a live session.

What does Webex Events' countdown timer actually do?

Webex Events has two countdowns: a Lobby countdown to the event's scheduled start time, and a registration reservation timer that counts down a ticket hold during checkout. Neither is a private, adjustable pacing timer a producer runs during the session itself.

Why use RunCue beside Webex Events?

Use RunCue when a speaker or producer needs a private, adjustable countdown during the actual session -- pausable, extendable, and controlled from a separate link -- plus private cue notes across multiple segments, none of which Webex Events' own Lobby countdown provides.

Does RunCue connect to my Webex Events account?

No. RunCue runs in a separate browser tab and does not access your Webex Events event, sessions, or attendee data.

Is RunCue free?

No. There's no permanent free plan. A 15-minute, no-card trial runs the full timer, then Pro is $19/mo and Team is $49/mo.

Is there a trial?

Yes -- and there's no rush to set it up. You get up to 7 days to build the run of show before any clock starts; the 15-minute live trial begins only once you press Start, and it includes the live timer, separate role links, cues, Reset, and segment editing before the room locks.
