Timer for Hopin / RingCentral Events
Hopin's countdown ends before the show starts. RingCentral Events never picks a live producer timer back up.
The presenter opens the stage link for a real, running countdown throughout the session. The producer keeps the timer and private cues on a separate control link, alongside RingCentral Events Studio.

RunCue
A live presenter countdown, not just a pre-event waiting screen.
RunCue works alongside Hopin / RingCentral Events in a separate browser tab. It does not install as an integration or access your account, event, or attendee data.

| Timer | Speaker visibility | Producer control | Cue context | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RingCentral Events networking timer | Attendees only, between segments -- not a running clock during a speaker's own segment | Set a fixed break length in advance; nothing to adjust once a segment is live | No cue notes; it is a break-length setting, not an interactive timer | Spacing out networking breaks between scheduled segments |
| RunCue browser room | Separate stage and audience links showing a live, adjustable countdown throughout the session | Separate control link with private producer cues across every segment, nothing to install | Cue cards for every segment plus Reset between rehearsal and live events | Hopin / RingCentral Events sessions with a run of show and presenters who need to see time remaining in the current segment |

FAQ
Using RunCue with Hopin / RingCentral Events
Does Hopin (RingCentral Events) have a live presenter timer or show-clock?
No. RingCentral's own virtual-event guide documents a networking timer that spaces out breaks between segments and a pre-event countdown for attendees -- not a running clock a presenter can see or a producer can use to track time remaining in the current segment.
What is Hopin's networking timer actually for?
It sets a fixed break length between scheduled segments so attendees know how long they have to network before the next segment starts. It isn't a live countdown during a speaker's own segment, and it isn't visible to a presenter while they're speaking.
Why use RunCue beside Hopin / RingCentral Events?
Use RunCue when your presenter needs a real, running countdown during their own segment and the producer wants private cue notes across a multi-segment run of show -- independent of RingCentral Events Studio's own controls.
Does RunCue connect to my Hopin or RingCentral Events account?
No. RunCue runs in a separate browser tab and does not access your Hopin, RingCentral Events, event, or attendee data.
Is RunCue free?
No. There's no permanent free plan. A 15-minute, no-card trial runs the full timer, then Pro is $19/mo and Team is $49/mo.
Is there a trial?
Yes -- and there's no rush to set it up. You get up to 7 days to build the run of show before any clock starts; the 15-minute live trial begins only once you press Start, and it includes the live timer, separate role links, cues, Reset, and segment editing before the room locks.
