Timer for Demio
Demio's session timer is a host-only clock. Give your speaker a countdown.
The speaker opens the stage link. The producer runs the countdown and private cues from a separate control link.

RunCue
Keep a presenter-facing countdown instead of a host-only duration clock.
RunCue works beside Demio. It does not install as a Demio integration or access your account or attendee data.

| Timer | Speaker visibility | Producer control | Cue context | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Demio session timer | Not documented for Presenter or Moderator roles | Host-only toolbar clock, tracks session duration | No cue notes; the timer only offers session-ending controls | A host tracking how long a live session has been running |
| RunCue browser room | Separate stage and audience links, private to the speaker | Separate control link that stays with the producer, nothing to install | Private producer cue cards across multiple segments | Producer-led Demio sessions with a run of show and a presenter who needs their own countdown |

FAQ
Using RunCue with Demio
Does Demio have a built-in countdown timer?
Demio's help center describes a timer in the top toolbar once a live session starts, but it's a host-only duration clock used to track and end the session — not a countdown, and not documented as visible to presenters, moderators, or attendees.
Can a Demio presenter see their own countdown?
Not through Demio's own timer. Demio's roles-and-permissions documentation covers Host, Presenter, and Moderator capabilities in detail and never mentions a timer for any non-host role.
Why use RunCue beside Demio?
Use RunCue when your speaker needs a real countdown (not a duration clock) and your producer wants private cue notes across multiple segments, independent of Demio's host-only timer.
Does RunCue connect to my Demio account?
No. RunCue runs in a separate browser window and does not access your Demio account or attendee data.
Is there a trial?
Yes. The 15-minute trial includes the live timer, separate role links, cues, Reset, and segment editing before the room locks.
