Privacy Policy

What RunCue stores, why it is used, and how long it is kept.

Effective July 14, 2026 · Last updated July 14, 2026

1. Information RunCue processes

  • Room content: event names, segment titles and durations, cue text, selected templates, colors, and brand labels you enter.
  • Access and security data: random room IDs, signed role credentials, access cookies, request timing, and security or error logs.
  • Billing records: Gumroad product, sale, and subscription identifiers, plan, subscription status, and payment-event references. RunCue does not receive or store full card numbers.
  • First-party usage data: event type, page path, campaign parameters, referring host, room ID after creation, and a one-way hash of a random browser-session identifier.
  • Support communications: the messages and contact information you choose to send to the support mailbox.

2. Browser storage

RunCue uses Secure, HttpOnly cookies to remember authorized room roles and billing ownership. The browser also uses session storage for a random measurement identifier and local storage for first-touch campaign attribution. These values support room access, fraud prevention, and first-party product measurement; RunCue does not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.

3. How information is used

  • provide, synchronize, secure, back up, and troubleshoot event rooms;
  • process Checkout, subscription changes, cancellations, and paid entitlements;
  • respond to support requests and prevent abuse;
  • measure visits, room creation, meaningful use, Checkout activity, and paid activation; and
  • comply with law and enforce the Terms.

4. Service providers and disclosure

RunCue uses Fly.io for application hosting and encrypted durable storage, and Gumroad as merchant of record for Checkout, subscription billing, taxes, receipts, and purchase management. Those providers process information under their own privacy terms. We may disclose information when legally required, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards. RunCue does not sell personal information.

5. Retention

Inactive trial rooms and rooms without an active paid subscription are eligible for deletion after 30 days of inactivity. Active paid-room records are retained while needed to provide the subscription. Access cookies expire according to their role; billing-owner cookies can last up to one year. Billing and transaction records may be retained as required for accounting, disputes, tax, security, and legal obligations. Backups and provider logs may persist for a limited period after primary records are removed.

6. Security

RunCue uses encrypted transport, encrypted infrastructure storage, signed access credentials, role-specific server responses, restricted cookies, and access rotation. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep owner and control links private, and rotate room access if you believe a link has been exposed.

7. Your choices

You can clear RunCue browser storage through your browser, rotate a room’s access links, cancel a subscription in your Gumroad purchase library, or request access, correction, or deletion of information reasonably associated with you. Because rooms are accountless, we may need the room ID and proof of the owner credential before acting on a room request.

8. Children and international use

RunCue is intended for business and professional event workflows and is not directed to children under 13. If you use RunCue outside the United States, information may be processed in the United States.
