Terms of Service

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms form an agreement between you and the operator of RunCue (referred to as “RunCue,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). RunCue is an independently operated software service based in Texas, United States. By using the service or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. The service

RunCue provides browser-based event rooms with shared timers, producer controls, role-specific display links, cue cards, templates, and optional branding features. A new room can be tested for 15 minutes before its controls lock. Paid capabilities are described on the pricing surface shown before Checkout. We may improve or change the service, but we will not knowingly misrepresent the capabilities included in a paid plan.

3. Room links and access

RunCue does not require a named account to create a room. Control, display, and owner-recovery links act as access credentials. You are responsible for sharing them only with intended participants and protecting the owner-recovery link like a password. Rotate room access promptly if a link is disclosed to the wrong person.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use RunCue to:

• break the law, violate another person’s rights, or facilitate fraud or abuse;
• probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass the service’s access controls;
• upload malicious code or use automated traffic that harms service availability; or
• store sensitive personal data, payment-card data, health records, government identifiers, or secrets in room content.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or the public.

5. Subscription billing

Pro and Team are monthly subscriptions sold and billed through Gumroad, the merchant of record for the transaction. The amount, billing interval, and applicable taxes are shown before you authorize payment. Your subscription renews automatically each month until canceled. You authorize Gumroad to charge the payment method you provide for each renewal under Gumroad’s checkout terms.

6. Cancellation and refunds

The billing owner can open their Gumroad purchase library from the RunCue control room and manage the membership. Cancellation stops future renewals; paid access normally continues through the current billing period. Refund eligibility is described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of event names, cue text, segment details, and branding you enter. You grant RunCue the limited permission needed to host, process, display, back up, and transmit that content to operate the service. You represent that you have the right to use the content you submit.

8. Availability and changes

RunCue is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Live events involve networks, browsers, devices, and third-party services outside our control. You should rehearse critical workflows and keep a practical fallback. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RunCue is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or event disruption. RunCue’s total liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid for RunCue during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow every limitation, so these limits apply only to the extent allowed.

10. Governing law and changes

Texas law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these Terms when the service or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be posted here with a new update date and, when practical, communicated through the service before they take effect.
